What we can offer is a realistic picture of how close the two actually are and what a resident here can reach without much trouble.

Getting into Providence

Providence is a 4-mile, roughly 7-minute drive from the house via US-44. RIPTA Route 57 along Smith Street and Route 27 along Broadway and Manton Avenue both run directly into downtown, so residents without a car still have a straightforward way in.

Several AA meetings are a short trip away: the Providence Basic Young People and Agape groups meet at 1 Benevolent Street, AA Today and the 12&12 group meet at 201 Pitman Street, and United In Sobriety, We Agnostics, and Agnostic Mediation meet at 50 Orchard Avenue.

For treatment support, Brown University Health's substance use treatment services are based in Providence and are a common referral point for residents at this house.
